Senior Media Planner

Red Bricks Media is a full-service integrated marketing agency specializing in search engine marketing, interactive media planning, email marketing and emerging forms of media including buzz and mobile marketing. Red Bricks Media is an independent agency headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York and Hong Kong, creating world-class marketing programs for top brands like Microsoft Higher Education, Hearst Magazines, THQ and the Los Angeles Times.

We are looking for a proactive, flexible self-starter to fill a potential full time position on our media team. The Senior Media Planner will be the strategic backbone of the planning team, with 3-5 years of interactive planning and buying experience as they lead client strategy. Experience with both B2B and B2C planning is imperative. Position reports to the Media Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as an interactive media planner/buyer
  • Extensive knowledge of media buying and planning; online in particular
  • Impeccable negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of trends and innovations in interactive media
  • Experience training and assisting associate planners; management qualities a must
  • Bachelor's Degree and strong skills in power point, excel, and word
  • Highly Analytical
  • Strong vendor relationships and large vendor contact list
  • Knowledge of successes and failures specific to interactive media buys
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills

Responsibilities

  • Client relationship manager (for assigned clients)
  • Direct client contact (email, phone, and meetings)
  • Provide direction and training for the media planners and associates
  • Lead client strategies
  • Develop superior test plans for all media vehicles
  • Lead campaign optimization
  • Develop an intimate understanding of assigned accounts
  • Prepare client recommendations pro-actively
  • Oversee the strategic incorporation of market research into the development of media plans and POVs
  • Analyze market research / campaign results / etc. and develop strong recommendation for marketing
  • Constructively edit final media plan deliverables and all client-facing documents (prepared by planners and associates)
  • Provide final signature of approval on all outgoing insertion orders and CMAs
  • Monitor and advise on new trends in interactive media
  • Lead final round of negotiations aggressively (working with CPM, CPA, CPL, and CPC pricing)
  • Continue to grow and build upon vendor relationships
  • Meet regularly with Media Supervisor
  • Measure and monitor ROI
  • Work with account team members to ensure that accurate timelines and budgets are established and adhered to, and that all outgoing agency documents are accurate, correct and professional
