Media Planner

We are looking for a proactive, flexible self-starter to play a key role on our online marketing team. The Media Planner/Supervisor will work with the Media Director to refine and expand our CPM and CPA/lead gen practices and to manage existing media planning activities. This person will have the ability to drive the overall direction of our CPM & CPA practices while also having the implementation skills necessary to create, execute on, and refine plans for individual clients. The Media Planner will also have a supporting role in some paid search activities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on a variety of projects with tight timelines and quick turn-around but who also enjoys stepping back for big-picture analysis. Existing experience with planning online marketing is not required but is welcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate rates, placements, and packages with vendors to reduce cost per sale/lead or targeted action
  • Work in partnership with client team to plan out long-term strategic direction of online marketing campaigns
  • Collaboratively work with the Account and Traffic teams to ensure campaigns success
  • Develop measurable campaign objectives and enable tracking of those objectives through site or third-party measurement tools
  • Monitor media placement results, and optimize to maximize results
  • Monitor overall campaign performance and recommend strategic shifts as needed
  • Prepare regular in-depth reports on campaign progress as well as ad-hoc reports as required
  • Acquire a thorough knowledge of the necessary tools and software needed to execute the job, including any introduced by clients
  • Drive development of creative test plans and analysis of creative performance

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of media (online or offline) or consulting experience
  • Solid analytical capabilities
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Proactive, take-charge attitude
  • Proven multi-tasking ability
  • Flawless written English
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Client-ready interpersonal skills and polish
  • Proven leadership in a team-oriented role
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently
  • Experience in a start-up or small-company environment a plus
  • Strong performance in Bachelor's degree program preferred
