Scott Neslund
Chief Executive Officer

With over 20 years in the media and marketing industry, Scott brings substantial experience and knowledge to Red Bricks Media. Previously the CEO of Mindshare, he has a proven track record of revenue growth, innovation and successful leadership. Scott earned a BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. His work has been recognized by Mediaweek, the Cannes Media Lion, Creativity and Effie awards, and he was named a 2008 AdAge Media Maven. Outside of his busy work schedule, Scott enjoys yearly skiing and scuba diving trips.

Elliott Easterling
Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

As one of our co-founders, Elliott is an innovator, leader and visionary who delivered Red Bricks Media from boutique search marketing firm to global interactive agency. In 2003 Elliott launched the company with Craig Hordlow, and during its most rapid period of expansion held senior level roles within the media and client services and sales departments. Elliott's last role at Red Bricks was VP of Sales where he helped drive double digit company growth for two years running. He returns to Red Bricks after successfully founding and growing sister company Echo Prospects, a website and web service incubator. Prior to Red Bricks Media, he was VP of Sales and Account Management at Digital Impact (now Acxiom Digital) and oversaw 60% of the company's accounts. He drove seven figure sales growth by the division's second year. Armed with a B.A. from Amherst College and a Master's in International Technology Management from UC San Diego, Elliott's abiding interests include fluency in two languages, an appreciation for painting and photography, and extensive world travel. His Rottweiler, Massimo, serves as the official mascot of Red Bricks Media and Chief Canine Officer.

Craig Hordlow
Chief Strategist & Co-founder

Craig has developed multi-channel marketing strategies for many of Red Bricks Media's clients. His strategies are rooted with the principles of performance marketing - meaning data-driven, measurable, and ROI-focused campaigns with clear objectives. He began doing SEO in 1999, co-founded Red Bricks Media with Elliott Easterling in 2004, and subsequently ran the SEO team at Red Bricks Media until 2008, when he became Chief Strategist, integrating and evolving each of the company's SEM practices. His SEO style is heavily influenced by usability, information architecture, long-tail micro-segmented keyword strategies, CMS customization, and "business design". Outside of his SEM career, Craig is known for the quirky music he creates in his band, "Erogenous Jones."

Kelly Olson
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer

Kelly oversees all of our operations to ensure that every process is efficiently directed at maximizing our clients' ROI. Coming from a background in consulting and finance, Kelly has more than 11 years of professional services experience. While at Red Bricks Media, Kelly has headed product management, finance, and HR, effectively serving as the default GM of the San Francisco headquarters. He has also been integral in developing standard methodologies for reporting, keyword research and time tracking - his innovative mind led to the development of Red Bricks Media's proprietary campaign operations tool. Before joining Red Bricks Media in 2005, Kelly worked as the controller for The Malcolm Group and prior to that was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Clark Consulting. Kelly graduated with a degree in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University.

Joe Van Remortel
VP Business Development

As the Vice President of Business Development, Joe's mission is simple: unite Red Bricks Media's capabilities and services with customers' needs and objectives. It's about asking the right questions, listening and identifying ways to generate ROI. Joe was most recently a Senior Vice President and Managing Director with Moxie Interactive, where he directed their westward expansion into San Francisco and Los Angeles. He assembled a top-flight team of media professionals and led Moxie's digital media relationships with 20th Century Fox and Hewlett Packard. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Wirestone, where he led the development of digital marketing strategies and web development initiatives with Intel, Abercrombie & Fitch, Nokia and Apple. He also served as a Group Director for Organic, developing and overseeing relationships with Yahoo!, Boeing, Napster, 20th Century Fox, HP and Intuit. Joe began his digital marketing career as an early employee with E*TRADE, eventually initiating and building E*TRADE's asset management business. Joe also worked as a management consultant with KPMG Consulting and Analysis Group, Inc. Joe holds a BA in Economics from UCLA, and an MBA from Yale School of Management. Joe is an active community volunteer, coaches youth basketball, and lives in the Oakland Hills with his wife and four daughters.

Scott Tieman
Account Director

Scott is an experienced internet marketer and certified search professional. In his role, he has directed online marketing programs for SanDisk, Nestle, LA Times and more. Scott previously worked for Accenture consulting for Fortune 1000 clients like Toshiba and Del Monte. He relocated to the Bay Area permanently to pursue a MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. During his studies, he specialized in internet marketing and was the President of the Haas Marketing Club.

In addition to a MBA, Scott also holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering, B.S. in Civil Engineering, and B.A. in French from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Stan Wang
Director of Search

Stan is the current SEO Director at Red Bricks Media and is responsible for the delivery of all SEO projects. He has overseen the development and execution of search strategy for clients such as American Express, Condé Nast, SanDisk, and Sony BMG. Prior to Red Bricks, Stan has held product and marketing roles at Coby Electronics and Akamai Technologies, in addition to independent consulting for Fortune 500 clients. Stan holds a BA in Biochemistry and Master's in Operations Research from Cornell University. When he’s not keeping his team on the cutting edge of SEO strategy and delivery, you can usually find Stan either outdoors or cooking – and occasionally reminiscing on his days as a junior high math contest champion.

Andrew Leinicke
Paid Search Media Director

Andrew (Andy) Leinicke is our Media Director and manages all aspects of our Paid Search Practice. Andy is in charge of organizing, developing and overseeing every aspect of a campaign from message and testing strategy to media buying and segmentation. His love of microsegmentation, thorough testing, and up-to-the-second tracking and optimization, makes him the best in the business when it comes to decreasing CPA and increasing ROI. Under his leadership, the team developed an advanced micro-segmentation strategy and industry-leading approach to keyword research.

Prior to joining Red Bricks Media, Andy spent many years in publishing, serving as Sales and Marketing Director for Alpinist Magazine, Marketing Manager at Saveur and Garden Design, and Marketing Assistant at Worth Magazine. Andy received an M.S. in Marketing Science from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Kalamazoo College.

Russell Bongard
Creative Director

Russell has spent more than a decade and a half in the creative realm of the digital medium. Starting out as a budding copywriter in Canada in 1994, he has traveled far and wide to finally join Red Bricks Media as Creative Director at the beginning of 2009. His past and current client list includes The Discovery Channel, IKEA, LG Electronics, Hewlett Packard, Verizon, Nestle, Sony, and PayPal among others. He has studied overseas and finally received his BA in English with a major in creative writing from York University. He has been a San Francisco resident since 2004, lives by the beach and enjoys the fog immensely.

John Bosso
Director of Web Development

John is responsible for the Web Development team that builds and maintains cutting edge solutions for our web centric clients. John is a seasoned development and program manager whose assignments have included Director of Program Management, Senior Development Manager and Director of Production Engineering at companies and agencies including Vodafone, Nimblefish, DHAP Digital and Digital Impact. He has focused on managing the overall engagement for web and mobile development projects for clients such as Adobe, AT&T, Industrial Light and Magic, Sears, and the Toyota/Lexus/Scion family of sites.

John has a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and Business Management from San Jose State University and is PMI certified.
